Primer Encuentro REDTEXTILIA – First Encounter REDTEXTILIA
Metamorfosis, un nuevo ciclo es uno de los eventos del Primer Encuentro de Arte y Diseño Textil de Redtextilia (Red Textil Iberoamericana), el cual se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de San José, Costa Rica, del 3 al 17 de setiembre de 2010.
Metamorphosis, A New Cycle is one of the events of the First Encounter of Textile Art and Design of Redtextilia (Ibero-American Textile Network), to be held in the city of San José, Costa Rica during September 3 to 17, 2010.
Este Encuentro es importante pues no solamente representa la cumbre del esfuerzo inicial de cuatro años de asociación de Redtextilia por medio de la bienvenida a todos los creadores textiles de Iberoamérica, sino que acoge especialmente el concepto de diseño sostenible.
El Encuentro ofrece una serie de talleres, conferencias y exhibiciones relativos al tema, además de dos competencias internacionales juradas: La convocatoria del Encuentro, y la 4ta. Bienal SUAVE “Complementos de la Moda” (organizada por la Asoc. de Creadores Textiles de Madrid-España).
This Encounter is important, because it represents the summit of the initial four-year association effort of Redtextilia, by way of welcoming all textile creators in Ibero-America, especially embracing the concept of sustainable design.
The Encounter offers a series of workshops, conferences, and exhibits related to its theme, in addition to two international juried competitions: The Encounter’s competition, and the 4th SOFT Biennial “Accessories to Fashion” (organized by the Textile Creators Assoc. of Madrid, Spain).
