Pared Norte – North Wall

Para la pared norte del Cuartel tengo reservadas varias obras que muestran mi interés en las culturas indígenas. A veces mezclo esas culturas como un recordatorio de que éstas no conocen fronteras. Otras veces me gusta jugar con temas y nombres. 
For the north wall of the Barracks I have reserved a few works that show my interest in Indigenous cultures. Sometimes I mix these cultures as a reminder that they don’t know borders. Other times I play with themes and names.

Al espacio de exhibición algunas veces entran murciélagos, quienes provienen del túnel subterráneo, re-descubierto recientemente (recordar que éstas eran las barracas del ejército). Por lo tanto, para proteger mis obras de los efectos “murcielagónicos”, hice una cortina de 120X325cm, en sarán con papel impreso en offset, cosido. Son 340 tarjetas. La obra se llama “Naipe de la vida”. 
Sometimes, bats enter the exhibition space on their way from the subterraneous tunnel recently re-discovered (remember these were the army barracks). Therefore, in order to protect my works from “batty” effects, I made a curtain measuring 4X10.6 feet in saran, with offset printed paper, sewn. It has 340 cards in all, and the work is called, “Life’s card deck”.
